¿Hacia dónde se dirige la fueza Latina?
Seria un error pensar que cada vez que un inmigrante cruza la frontera deja de ser lo que era en su país de origen. Cada persona lleva consigo su cultura, su concepción y forma de vida. El fenómeno de la migración no sólo mueve personas, mueve culturas, se mezclan y se sobreviven.
Pensar en la migración es pensar en un cúmulo de concepciones que crean caminos, la pregunta es ¿hacia dónde van? Los Angeles es una ciudad Latina. Los comercios mexicanos abundan por todos lados, su ingenio para arreglárselas ha contribuido al desarrollo económico de la región.
Sin embargo han padecido, los abusos y violaciones a sus derechos humanos más elementales son pan de cada día. Su carácter de ilegales, e incluso su carácter de inmigrantes, los convierte en enemigos.
Sin embargo luchan, se agrupan, se defienden y se aferran. Esa es la fuerza latina, la que entrega lo mejor de sí. ¿Hacia dónde van? Hacia dónde ellos lo decidan. Siempre y cuando tomen las riendas del camino que implica.
En este periodo de crisis, deberán seguir luchando, para mantener los derechos que han alcanzado quienes han luchado por una residencia legal y una doble ciudadanía.
